The Notification settings page controls two things: how in-app alerts are shown, and which automated emails Ceum sends you. (The web /settings/alerts page redirects here.)
Alert display
- Enable alerts — turn the in-app alert system on or off.
- Show alert badges — show the alert count as a number on the bell and the sidebar. With it off you get a plain dot instead. There's no read/unread state: the number is how many things are currently alerting, and it goes down as you deal with them.
- Category toggles — choose which kinds of alert surface: clients, projects, tasks, invoices, and time goals. Each toggle covers the whole entity, so turning off Tasks drops both overdue and flagged tasks, and turning off Projects drops flagged, ended, and over-budget projects together. To silence one project's budget alerts without touching the rest, use Mute budget alerts on that project instead — see Projects. A separate timer toggle controls the running-timer dot on the sidebar, which isn't an alert category.
Alert controls are part of a paid plan; on a plan without alerts they are unavailable, but the email preferences below stay editable.
Email preferences
- Opt out of all email — a master toggle that disables every automated email Ceum would send you.
- Category toggles — onboarding, reports, reminders, and product updates each have their own switch. Reminders covers the nudge sent as a time goal nears its deadline; it is separate from reports so you can keep the periodic summary without being chased midweek. A category has no effect while you are opted out of all email.
Adjust any control, then Save to apply your changes.
On mobile
Mobile splits these into two screens: Settings → Alerts for in-app alert display and categories, and Settings → Notifications for email preferences.
